Roberto Malone strikes again! More goodies have arrived and I dare say I've made a good use of them :)

2MB worth of decrypted data and I got to see this:

NAOMI 2009-07-04 Dead or Alive 2 #3NAOMI 2009-07-04 Dead or Alive 2 #4

But since I wasn't satisfied I've swapped the EPROM for Millenium version. This is still WIP so there are slowdowns all over the place but thanks to that I've made an interesting discovery. The boobs...? They actually do bounce :)

Amazing Deunan, you are making an incredible progress on carts emulation. Those slowdowns are due to the emu or the dump?

This is highly experimental dev version I'm running now. Some things are broken so it's impossible to tell... It should work full speed on multi-cores, just as Dreamcast version does.

Looks great man. I've been looking at that bottom left picture for a few minutes now, and I still have no idea what's going on. By the way, do you have a place setup for bug reports? Is it even worth mentioning any problems from 11.2 at this point, since the version you're working on is probably quite different? Thanks for your continued hard work and frequent updates!

Just post it here. I can't promise I will do anything about it though :)
And yes, Test 12 is in the works and it has tons of internal changes already.

Well, I was going to post an issue but for some reason today I can't re-create the problem today so maybe it was just a fluke. Anyway, thanks for the great work!

Hi
I am having a problem with Makron for both Naomi and the Dreamcast,
whereby when I run the emulator, all I get is a black screen, which some times flickers the DC logo very quiickly, but then goes black again.
The sound intros (for DC and Makaron) and gameplay music/sound play ok though, so its a video issue that makron is having a problem with.
I made sure that all the setup is done correctly (and bios files correct and in the right place), and have spent quite some time trying to troubleshoot this problem, but without success.
I've tried NullDC and this works great with DC, but i really need Makron for naomi, as its far superior to anything else! So please help!
I have attached the output from the emulator :-

Have you tried running Makaron fullscreen? Does it work or not?
Can you bring F12 menu on, is it visible?

I've tried running it fullscreen, but i get the same problem as descibed before. I also tried pressing F12 and this works! I've played with the settings, but could not get the game video to display.
I did enable the FPS counter and it displayed and was moving/counting fine,as I believe the game was running/processing ok, but just not displaying the video (only game sounds could occasionally be heard).

Hi
Any idea/suggestions on what the probelm might be or a solution to my prblem here, please?
19th-Jul-2009 12:14 pm (UTC)
Not really - except to try different driver maybe. While there are some problems with certain ATI cards it's never so bad as in your case.

11th-Jul-2009 04:52 pm (UTC) - triangle count

Seeing how your developing dc/naomi emulators made me curious abuot one thing. Is this game(maybe others) pushing 3 million triangles in memory for real?or was that just marketing. Also how many polygons are usually on average in the viewport.I was just curious. Thanks if you answer this.
